>>> la reigne de margot?

in the movie, the queen went out into the streets wearing a black mask that covered just her eyes and nose.

she went out into the streets looking for sex, found a man, and they went at it in an alleyway. she wouldn't let him kiss her, and they both ran out and away when they had finished.

later, she "fell in love" with him. he "saved" her, he "set her free". i do not understand how this happened over the course of the two-hour film, and it isn't because it was in french (i can read subtitles just fine),

and it wasn't one of those wordless things you can grasp by simply watching two people's actions.

in the most complicated world, the fact that they were both the only one constantly on the other's mind was simple, and they would have sex, and talk about kingdoms, and then someone would try to kill him with a really big sword, and she would go yell at her mother.

i don't know how that constitutes love.

it isn't simple. call me crazy, but i feel as though, at least for me personally, it is, or will be, infinitely complicated.

(and) no, i did not enjoy the film. i felt it was, in a word, unrealistic.
